Diesel Technician
Location Polk Freightliner
DescriptionRepair heavy duty equipment such as engines, transmissions, clutches, brakes, air conditioning, electrical trouble shooting, perform DOT inspections, change oil, etc. Maintain and enhance mechanical technology knowledge. Track job time on in-house business system via a repair order. Document all repairs and pertinent information in regards to the work performed. Complete a story on the repairs. Tag and document all warranty items appropriately.
Qualifications- Diesel engine experience REQUIRED
- 2 years experience working on heavy duty trucks and diesel engines
- Diagnostic and practical problem solving skills
- Necessary tools
- A neat and organized approach to work and reporting procedures
- Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance

Roadside TechnicianDescription
At Orlando Freightliner, a Florida Truck Group company, our skilled team of mechanics is the driving force that keeps our customers on the road and operating in top condition. We are expanding our operations to holistically serve our customers wherever they need assistance. In that expansion, we are looking for strong diesel mechanics to help build our fleet of mobile repair units.
Responsibilities- Respond timely to road assist calls and repair units
- Perform diagnostics and non-road assist call repairs that can be dropped quickly, as needed
- Restock Mobile Unit with tools, parts, or anything else required to perform an effective road assist.
- When not out on road calls, assist with designated in-shop repairs as directed by supervisor
- Perform diagnostics, maintenance and repairs at customers facilities.
- Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications- 2-4 years practical Diesel experience
- Vocational/Technical or certification preferred
- Ability to work in non-climate controlled conditions required
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
- Prior Mobile repair a plus
